Union Soccer is Up and Running

You know that it's soccer season when you can go to a game and have the sun, snow, wind and rain in one 1 1/2 hour sitting. That's exactly what this Park City game was like. The kids went from taking off clothes because they were so hot to finding extra shirts, hats and gloves because they were so cold. Cado is enjoying the season though. He grateful that he gets to play both freshman and J.V. So far he's not real convinced that the freshman team has much talent, but the J.V. has a little more hope :)

Girls Day and Night Out

Carrie and I got to take Jessica and Mariah out for a Saturday filled with shopping and the museum. As mothers, we believe it is our duty to teach them how to shop until they drop. As you can see, we succeeded in this and the girls were absolutely exhausted at Kohl's! Maybe because Carrie could not find the right color of "green shirt" to match her new green skirt. Anyway, a little food at Target finally perked them up.

We ate at Tuscano's and Olive Garden and stayed at a really nice Holiday Inn where we got to go and relax in the hot tub for just the right amount of time. Next year, we want this adventure to last a little longer though!

Seven New Puppies March 10

K.O. surprised us and had her puppies a week earlier than we had expected. Fortunately we had noticed that she was acting strange the night before and we let her in the house. The next morning we were happily surprised to see seven cute puppies.

The Happy Chart in Orangeville

Cado's cousins decided to surprise him and make him a Happy Chart while he was in Orangeville a few weeks ago. They were very generous with the Happy Points, or he was incredibly happy while there. He earned 140 happy points. That was enough for a bag of dogfood. That would have taken him about 2 weeks to accomplish at home! Needless to say, it made him very happy!

Man Versus Food

We held our own version of Man vs. Food last night to test the manhood of Cado and Dayton. Mariah spent much of the afternoon making a triple decker waffle for each one of them. Each waffle was filled with four different types of fruits and four different types of toppings ranging from peanut butter and nutella to ice cream and whipped cream.
The challenge was simple...eat the whole thing.
The approaches varied from using a fork, to using your fingers!
Most of the waffles got eaten in the first six minutes, but those last few sections took much longer.
Dayton did prove his manhood by eating his whole waffle feast in approximately ten minutes.
Cado tried very hard but just could not swallow those last two bites. We think that this should become a new Law tradition and we will gladly make waffles for anyone who wants to try to defeat the CHAMP!

Let the Clogging Competitions Begin

It's another year of clogging and competition. Mariah is loving is so much! She has the most wonderful teacher who lives clogging 24/7! Their first competition was at Thanksgiving Point. Mariah and Marlee make the cutest duet team.

Mariah, McKell and Marlee have been clogging together for four years. They are getting pretty good!
