Another Medal, Another Bag!

This is why we run.  We always get a free medal and a free bag!  This kids are always quick to swipe our bags though.  They did think that these bags were pretty cool.  We ran the UBIC 10k on Saturday.  I beat last years run by 11 minutes!  I was happy to have run that "kind of hilly run" in 54 minutes.  Dave was happy to have run his in 1:18.  So far we are two for two at improving our personal records!  I can't wait until next year.

Can You Say "Free Admission!"

Yep, that's what we are going to get this year.  Free admission to any sports event we want to attend!  Why you ask?   Well, Dave has been given the honorable task of being the Union Booster Club President.  So, if he calls you...you may not want to answer your phone.  He will be asking for money or volunteer work!!!!

Mariah's Friendly Sheep

It's that time of year when all of the sheep are getting ready for the Duchesne County Fair.  Mariah really likes her lamb this year.  He is as calm as can be and oh so friendly!  Those are the ones that we truly miss!

Cado Goes to Camp

Another year, another adventure.  Cado is ready to go with the scouts on a 50 mile hike.  It didn't really turn out to be that long, but he was packed and ready to go.  It was with Dan Robinson, Allen Wallace and three boys.  Those leaders left the boys in charge of the food.  We heard that for the three days' trip, Cameron bought 10 dozen eggs and 8 pounds of bacon and one bag of carrots!  There was a little lunch and dinner stuff as well, but we were mightily impressed at the number of eggs and bacon he packed!  If I was the scout leader, I would never trust a scout to pack MY food!

Room Redo!

I got a lot of great work done this weekend with Dayton and Brooke at home.  They pulled out trees, yanked out roots, cut limbs and cleaned outside. It was super hot and so we brought them inside for some "cooler" work.  Look at the joy on their faces as they tear off wallpaper in anticipation of painting our bedroom a new color!

It all ended up looking so much better.  We still have more work to do...but, like usual...I will probably wait until Dayton and Brooke come home again!  (Just kidding.  I promise they will not have to work next visit...maybe!)

Dayton Turns 23

Dayton and Brooke made it home just in time to celebrate his birthday.  Mariah made him a party hat, got him some sunglasses and baked a cake.  He and Brooke topped it off by opening more wedding gifts that were at our house!
