Our First Visit With Hunter!

This weekend we got to go to Logan to see little Hunter.  We were excited to see him and are pretty sure the feeling was mutual.

We visited with him for three days.  This is basically what he looked like for all three.  That little guy just slept and slept and slept.

He was never phased about who was holding him.

He didn't mind sleeping through the Union versus Uintah football game.

Even when Dayton would lift him up and wiggle his arms and legs they would just fall like noodles and he would...keep sleeping.

We spent a lot of time just watching that little boy sleep.

Dayton decided to take Cado and Roo for a ride in his "hot" rental car as his is getting fixed.  I guess loaner cars aren't quite as fancy when they are coming from the repair shop.  But I was soooo impressed.  This little Geo Metro had over 300,000 miles!  So, obviously the repair shop knows how to keep a car going.

Bo spent some time with us and he and Roo played on Great Grandma Floyd's "Light Up Organ."  That thing just mesmorizes all who come.  We are easily entertained and I remember turning it on as a kid and loving to see those keys lite up.  Looks like things haven't changed.

We made one final stop on our way out of town this morning and we finally saw some eyeballs!

But not for too long.

This is my very favorite picture of all.  Hunter AWAKE...looking intently as his cute Aunt Roo!

Baby Hunter

Hunter David Law was born one week late but happily greeted by Dayton and Brooke.  He arrived at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 31 weighing in just two ounces less than his daddy did at 7 pounds 6 ounces and 20 inches.  We are excited to meet this little guy!

Bean Time

It's a good thing that I got a pressure cooker this year because Blaine's garden is working out just awesome for use.  About every three days we are getting a harvest of beans that is about this big!  Those plants amaze me.  Anyway, the kids have become much better "pickers" and they are quite skilled at their snapping skills now.  I spend my time in the kitchen getting those beans in their cans.  This night I was up until 2 a.m. canning them.  Lesson learned....don't start canning after coming home from a family reunion!

The Once Every Twelve Years Floyd Family Reunion!

Sand and Whitney and Ashley.
My cousin Alissa Weller has been planning a Floyd reunion ever since her parents left on a mission 18 months ago. In that time both her father's sisters died and he is the last living sibling.  So the reunion was planned for two days after they arrived home.  Our Call family didn't really chat about who would be going to the reunion.  In fact no one thought anyone else would be going.  That guilt, let each of us to say to our own families, "we better go to represent "mom...or she will kill us!"  So needless to say, by the end of the afternoon...Dale's familly had shown up, we had shown up, Jim's family had shown up and even DeeAnne and Anson had arrived.  We were all quite surprised to see each other arrive.  In the end, our family had the very best representation and we are certain that mom was smiling!

They tie dyed shirts.

The Call Boys hanging out.

Cousins.

The whole HUNGRY group.

Anson, DeeAnne and Uncle Dave.

Cado, Jackson, Justin

Everyone was very entertained with the "Fly Zapper."

The Dianne Call Family

The Beverly Welch Family

Me and my wonderful cousins.  I only have 16 on this side of my family.  Eight made it.  I guess that is a pretty good turn out!  Back row:  Lori, Jim, Dale, Jim (kind of weird that both sisters named a son that!), DeeAnne
Front:  Shirlene, Alissa, Misty

Bo's Goodbye

Bo is one of the few temporary employees who have ever gotten a goodbye lunch!  He must be pretty special and Boni is pretty darn thoughtful!  Kevan and Roger said that they want him to come back next year and Beverly said that Bo "kept them laughing...all the time!"

There he goes.  Sophomore in college.  (I did have to send him back to make another sign because he had spelled sophomore wrong on the first one!  I still blame that on Roosevelt schools. )
