My New Favorite Room

We got to bring home Bo's cabintry project last night. I was so excited. This is now my new favorite room in our house!

A Beautiful Mind

Yesterday I went into Cayden's room and had an eerie flashback to the movie of "A Beautiful Mind." Maybe that poor kid really does need cable!

The Cabinetry Fair Is Here

This is Bo's cabinetry fair project. You can tell that he is deeply bonded with it.
This is me trying to get a single "normal" picture out of Bo. He is a poser! Boy, that must run in the family. Oh, you may wonder why Bo is holding "Lord of the Flies." Well this book is front and center on his project because it has gotten him through more book reports than any other book there is. I think this is year 5 of reading it. He figures, if it was good once... it will be good again! As you can imagine, Bo is not a kid who likes a lot of change in his life!


These are some of the great projects these high school kids make here. They have an amazing teacher. I'm assuming that teaching cabinetry must be a lot like teaching preschool. I admire that man!

Tie Dying With Mariah's Class

Some people call it crazy, but today Mariah and I got to tie dye with her whole class. They were so excited to squeeze those colors onto those shirts. Mariah has Mrs. Marx as a teacher and loves her and Mrs. Marx loves Mariah. I think that Mariah is just one of those PERFECT students. (She must get that from her mom!)

Look At That Haircut

Dayton has been working on getting his mission papers ready. Can you believe that he is still the same kid? We haven't seen this much of his head for that past 3 years! When Whitney saw him at church after his haircut she said, "Gee Dayton, if you would have let your mom cut it like that in high school, you wouldn't have looked like such a dork!"

Why Cado Thinks We Need Cable

Sometimes you just have to feel for this poor guy. He begs for cable on a seasonal basis. (Only during the playoffs.) Well, can you blame him? This is the way that he gets to watch the games!

Will We Ever Learn

It's that cabinetry time of year again. We've known this was coming for the past nine months. Does this help? No! All it helps us realize is what night we need to stay up really late so that we can paint...IN THE DARK!
