Saturday Orangeville Days Celebrations

Captain's $2000.00 Girlfriend

Captain had another special guest this week. This dog was named Bailey and came from Syracuse, Utah. We learned that these white Golden Retrievers are worth quite a bit. Bailey cost $2000.00 as a puppy! Wow, that put a lot of pressure on us to make sure that she was well cared for.

Maddie and Brooklyn's Utah Report Via Shirlene

Brooklyn and Maddie followed Mariah from Arizona to Roosevelt. They had a great time for the next four days. They even did a little cooking. Mmm, we love these easy pumpkin cookies. All that you have to do is mix one spice cake mix with a can of pumpkin and stir. Then add chocolate chips! They are delicious.

The girls started out sleeping downstairs on the big fuzzy rug but once they found the "world's ugliest spider" they quickly moved to Mariah's bed. They found that there was room for all three of them if they were strategic about it. These girls stayed up way too late every night. They were even quite surprised when Dave and I really didn't even want to see that ugly spider at two a.m. in the morning! Fortunately for us, they left it in a jar right by our bedside so that we could see it in the morning.

We got to take them all to Steineker the last night so that they could see that Law's really can catch fish. They played in the water first and then went fishing. It was just as successful as last time.

Cado and Maddie both thought they had a fish on the line. When they pulled it out, they found out that they both had the same fish.

Brooklyn even baited her own hooks. Go Brooklyn!

Finally, Cado is finding that he really does like fishing...maybe a little too much.

Mariah's Arizona Report Via Aunt Janice!

The first 2 are from today--they took umbrellas and walked to the library. Later they swam at a fun public pool--not the best picture to portray what they did!

Then Monday night they went scorpion hunting with Auntie Cheri. I told the girls I would pay them each $1 for every scorpion they spotted on our property. Abbie got into it! I paid her $11! Between 2 houses they found 25! Yikes! Each girl took the opportunity to catch a scorpion by the tail with tweezers and drop it in the jar. In the black light, they are flourescent.

On Tuesday, Patrick took them to the dollar movie to see The Last Song, and then swimming. Then they hung out at Auntie Cheri's for a while.

Monday was Naomi's and Lucas' birthdays. We took Naomi to Krispy Kreme, Build a Bear, then we all went to see How to Train Your Dragon at the dollar movie.
