Random Thanksgiving Pictures

 A little bowling action.
Carter is simply the perfect baby.
Hunter is still obsessed with the bouillon cubes.  Now he just unwraps them.  He doesn't try to eat them anymore.

Thanksgiving Weekend Happenings

We spent a lot of time downstairs watching Hunter build with the train set.  He loved it and did not want to leave it.  His other love was turning on all the Christmas lights first thing in the morning.  WE have a lot of lights and so he would keep up busy plugging them in.  He would not relax until that job was done.

Dayton and Brooke made us the coolest tree decorations!  They cut the wood and put these cut decals on each one.  I love them.
Hunter was simply in awe of the BIG TREE.
We had one other surprise for Hunter.  This awesome Thomas the Train chair.  It reminded us of his daddy's blue chair when he was just his age.  Hunter loved it and would not let anyone else sit on it.

Pictures With Grandma Law

Lots of Laying on the Ground

It's really a good thing that we have soft carpet because there is a lot of laying on the ground in our house.  Carter is just happy to be there all the time.  Hunter loved the big Christmas tree and would always want me to go in the living room and lay on the floor and then put my hands in the air to show how big that tree was!

Homework Help

It was nice to have Dayton live in person for his homework tutoring.  He effectively tutored and tended at the same time!

Grandma Law Turns 82

We got Grandma Law at our house for her birthday and Thanksgiving.  Eighty two years young.  She simply amazes me.  She requested soup and breadsticks for supper.  YAY.  That is my specialty!

Jackson's Surprise Visit

Jackson Law made a surprise visit to our house today.  The best news of all is that he is dating a girl from Vernal named Steffany.  It looked pretty serious because they were holding hands!
We made the connection that I actually know Steffany's family quite well.  Her mom went through the ELED program years ago and so I taught her in several classes and worked with her in preschool a lot.  Then her younger brother and Cado played on the same traveling soccer team and they played against each other in soccer and basketball for all of the rest of the years.  Needless to say, we took a selfie together so that she can send it to Jurey (her brother) and kind of freak him out!  Then I just told them that they should get married.  She's from a great family and so is Jackson.  It's pretty much a match made in heaven!

Beast Mode

I received this from Cado last week.  I guess this is what they do in the office when they are bored.

Maya Moved!

Maya finished nail school and moved back home on Tuesday.  I tried everything to keep her.  I promised to never make soup again and I even found her the perfect boyfriend!  Neither worked.  We sure enjoyed having her and wish her the very best.

Loss of a Teammate

Ashley Hansen, one of Mariah's tennis teammates was killed in a car accident on Friday night.  She left a very sad team and a very sad family.  We decided to tie ribbons on the tennis courts to do a remembrance for her.  We found out that her favorite color was green and were blessed to find the perfect green plastic ribbon.
The most touching part of the whole event was the fact that Ashley's family asked if they could come too.  What a special moment to see those grieving family members, join in on the tribute.  I can't even imagine their sorrow.
My favorite picture of the whole night was this one.  I just really think that the sunbeam shining on them was Ashley's way of letting them know that she was watching, and that she was very very happy.

 Ashley's family.

This picture of Mariah and her friends did make it on the evening news.
Ashley was a spitfire!  Her energy and spirit will be remembered!

Carter's Blessing

Carter received his official name today:  Carter Dee Law.
 Mariah and Carter
Four of Brooke's 7 brothers.  I think they all look the same. It's hard to tell who is who!

Hunter was not excited for pictures.
Until I showed him the camera with him in pictures.

 Brooke's family...plus one special soul!

Hunter discovered that the leaves were crackly and loved it.

But he loved everyone's attention even more!
Carter is simply a perfect boy!
Happy blessing day cutie!
