Bo's At SNOW!

We got to meet Bo's roommate, Drew.  He is from Grantsville and seemed very happy to see another roommate.  He was happy to go to lunch and Walmart with us and seemed like a pretty darn cute kid!  He said his nickname is Boo.  So now they have Bo and Boo in the same apartment.

The Maverik pose seems like our new tradition for our kids as they head to college.  Here we are filling up Bo's car as he gets ready to head out.  Of course he followed us because he had three guitars a giant amplifier and all his college stuff that could not possibly fit in his little Focus!   We had a few family tears before Bo left. (O.K. maybe more than a few.)  Amidst them Bo made a good point.  He said, "You would be more sad if I was staying, though."  I had to laugh through his tears and my tears and say, "Yes, it's kind of like the momma bird who has to push her baby out of the nest.  It's not fun or easy, but she knows she has to do it!"  I ditto the momma bird, sending my kids to college and on missions, is not fun and it definitely doesn't get easier!  Nobody tells you this stuff before you have kids!

DUCKS!

Three dogs, three cats and now three ducks.  Thanks to Aunt Joyce who sent them home with Cado and Mariah after their week in Star Valley.  Joyce said the kids really wanted them, but the kids say that "Joyce" really wanted us to have them!!!!
I also reminded Joyce that we were driving my teeny tiny CIVIC.  She was certain that the ducks could still fit.

Make Your Own Pizza Night

The kids didn't just want pizza the other night, they wanted a Make Your Own Pizza night.  So here they are rolling out their mini pizzas and choosing their toppings.  They were awesome!

Bo and Cado's Eden Tourney

Bo, Cado and I got to spend  a weekend in July at the Eden soccer tournament.  It was so much fun to be with my two boys.  We would drive each night and spend the night in Logan so we ate out late at places like Carl's Jr. and Little Casaers Pizza.  We also had some down time in the day and got to go to the movie at the mall.  It was so much fun to be able to do whatever we wanted.  We even got all of Bo's school shopping done in a total of 40 minutes!  We rock when it comes to speed in school shopping!

Don't Wear That To SNOW!

Bo chooses his own clothes which is quite evident (unless we go to Aeropostale where I choose his clothes and tell him how awesome he looks in them...I love that store!).  Anyway, here's a shirt that Bo chose as he embarks on his college journey.  I am begging him to NOT wear this shirt until mid semester.  That way people will know him well enough to still "love and accept him" even if he does look like a nerd!  He's convinced that he should wear this everyday to see if people will love and accept him for who he really is!

Another Stock Show

Lunch time was very popular at our camper.  We tried to have food for whoever wanted it and found that we had "takers" who we didn't even know!  We counted over 16 people in our camper at one time and there were more outside eating!
Ok, maybe we are doing a little better in the sheep business.  Cayden and Mariah actually got blue ribbons this year and Bo was just one spot behind the blues.  That's improvement for the Law Sheep Herd.  Unfortunately we think that the recession has hit the Basin livestock buyers and the sheep did not sell for nearly as much as they have in the previous years.  I guess we've been spoiled.  Cado was very fortunate to get $500.00, Mariah $485.00, and Bo, unfortunately hit the ring right when the prices dropped.  He got $325.00.  It's a good thing that he's had a great summer job to pull him through.  ha ha

When Mariah had to go get her lamb to sell it, we found her crying in the pen.  Then after she sold it (knowing it's fate) she went to the camper and cried some more.  She really liked her cute lamb.  :(

The Rest of UBIC!

UBIC had its first ever 3 on 3 soccer tourney.  Cado was on a team with Tanner, Colton, and Spencer.  They played from 6:30 to midnight.  They got second place...out of three teams!

Bo was kept busy as the King of UBIC.  He introduced the local talent and even shared his own "winning" talent!

We do believe that the real purpose for choosing a Mr. UBIC though is to get help loading and unloading all of the stuff that is needed to make the night work!  Oh well, for $500.00, Bo thought that was pretty good pay.

Mariah performed one more time.  Their team only forgot part of the clogging routine...hum, must mean it's time to get back to LESSONS!

Reid, Bo and Ben in all their glory during the parade.  They didn't even get to throw candy this year.  Someone must have told them that Bo licked a sucker and it got thrown out last year!!!  If you wonder why Bo looks so sad, it's because at that moment he is thinking about all that he is giving up to be in this parade....WARPED TOUR!  Oh that boy was so very, very sad.  The good news was that Reid decided to go right after the parade so they both were happy!

Mr. UBIC Competition 2010

The opening number for Mr. UBIC 2010.  I want to be a Star!

Bo composed another original HIT just for tonight's competition.

Bo was Captain Jack Sparrow for the fashion segment of the show.

Bo told a great joke about Wood Eye and Peg Leg.  Then he followed it with an amazing answer to the judges random question.  He was asked, "What is the best bumper sticker you have seen lately?"  His answer:  "A big peace sign that said 'Earth First' on the top and then said 'We'll drill the other planets later."

The crowning moment came and Bo actually didn't even know that he had been chosen as the winner.  He was very surprised when he received the coveted "cowboy hat!"

(See, I think this guy is coveting)

The Royalty line up.  Miss UBIC Pageant winners and then Mr. UBIC (Bo), First runner up (Reid Page), second runner up (Ben Willard).

We didn't think that Bo had quite as awesome of a fan club as he had last year, due to the fact that Blakeley was OUT OF TOWN!!!!  Guess this fan club will have to do!

The Evan and Bessie Call Family Barn

Beautiful bedrooms done by our Aunts.
Space, space and more space.
The upstairs kitchen.
The amazing bricks.  Everyone's names...in order!  What a job.
The bathroom wall.  COOL!
The giant room!
The huge stairway.  This will keep us in shape.
This year's Call Reunion celebrated the dedication of the new Call Family Barn.  Wow, what an amazing project and what and amazing way to host hundreds of people in comfort!  I think that the most exciting thing of all was that there was more than ONE bathroom!
