Tie Dye With Mariah's Class

Well we made it just in time to tie dye with Mariah's class. I have found a new "simple" way to tie dye that has made the whole process much easier. I don't have to take them home and rinse them out or anything!

It Was Worth It

Here it is. Bo's cabinetry project. Isn't this going to look darling in Mariah's room!

We Knew It Couldn't Be This Easy

All year long we have not heard much about how Bo's cabinetry project was going. Whenever I asked, all was well and that was it. That was...until Tuesday!

Bo called me at noon and said, "Uh mom, I just found out that the cabinetry fair is tomorrow!" Hadn't I been asking this kid when the cabinetry fair was? I was not happy at first, because he still had a lot to do and flunks if his project does not get done for the fair!

So, once again, the project comes home, the neighbors come over and we work through the night!

We are very slow learners!

She's Getting RICH!

Mariah came home yesterday as surprised as can be. A representative from the State Farm Bureau came to her school and gave her a certificate and a $50.00 check for coming in second of all third graders in the State for the story she wrote about food and water.

She received $20.00 a couple weeks before this for winning her school competition with her story. She had no idea that she could win more!

Ahh, what a sweet surprise.

Bo's Awesome Jazz Band

The Union High School Jazz band competed in Denver this past weekend and then hit Six Flags just for fun. The Jazz Band as well as the other Band and Orchestra from UHS swept the competition. Union may stink at sports but they are doing o.k. in the music category!

Grandpa Law's 80th Birthday Party

We spent the weekend in Orangeville for Grandpa Law's 80th birthday party. Today in church he told everyone that living to 80 was well worth it! We had a wonderful time and he had over 100 people come to his party! Impressive!
