San Antonio

Dave and I got to spend 5 days in San Antonio.  He had a conference.  I went because I have always heard good things about San Antonio.  We were not disappointed.

We got to visit the Alamo and learn a bit about it.  Dave even found some Davy Crockett clothes and we saw coon skins hats that he remembers Uncle Steve wearing as a kid.

We found a great German sandwich shop called Schilo's.  We ate everything it was famous for:  rootbeer, split pea soup and corned beef sandwiches!  They were delicious.

We loved the River Walk.

 

 
Rachel and Erik took us to the Rainforest Cafe for dinner. 

 

I spent a lot of time at the Mall because I simply had nothing better to do.  I did discover the movie theatre and that it had reclining chairs.  That was probably the most awesome discovery of the whole trip.  I actually made it to two movies, Enders Game and Captain Phillips, and thoroughly enjoyed them both. 

Mariah's Girls Weekend

I got to take Mariah, Jordan and Kennedy to Park City for the weekend to celebrate Mariah's birthday. 

We shopped.

They swam.

And we made sure that our tummies were filled with delicious food!

Bo As a USU Chicken

 

 

Bo told me that he had been a chicken at a game and that it was probably one of the funnest things he had ever done in his life.  I thought he was talking about some crazy college game that they must have been playing at his complex.  He told me that there were some pictures on facebook.  So...I looked and discovered that he really was a chicken at a game!  I need to take that kid more "literally" from now on!
