The Boys Are Back in Town!

Hunter, Carter and Cooper got to come spend the weekend with us...just because.  Mariah is home because of the quarantine.  We ordered some baby chicks and they came.

We got the boys a Jeep to drive around and it took all day to put together.  Sometimes the boys were a little TOO helpful for grandpa's taste.
We made Worries and the boys loved them.

Cooper was fascinated by every puddle of water he found andhe was always dropping things into the water to see what it would do.
We got to have a hot dog roast, but the fire was kind of lame so those dogs basically got warmed up.
Hunter and I made our first video together.  Hunter is a pro at video making.

Worries!

I just happened to receive the perfect book for these interesting changes we are experiencing.  Joan and I made a video to share and we had "Worries"
 coming from all over.

Home Schooled Preschoolers

Since we had to close all schools, we no longer get to see our sweet preschoolers.  That is truly a loss.  We are trying to keep in touch by sending online stories and lessons each week.  It has been the best seeing their faces as they show us their work.

Coronavirus Humor and Cash

This Is a Great Description of the Coronavirus

We Love Visits

Cado and Sav came for an impromptu visit.  It's the beginning of the Coronavirus changes and this was our first day of home church.  It is amazing to watch how well we have been prepared by our prophets for this.  We have learned how to keep the Sabbath holy.  We have learned how to have a family-centered, church-supported church.  We have learned how to minister.  We have been told to be physically prepared.  We have food storage.  We have toilet paper (that has been the big thing people have rushed for).  We have savings.  We have guidance.

This has been the most unique experience and it keeps changing from hour to hour.  We have gone from full calendars to no calendars.  Everything has been canceled.  Sports, vacations, school, church, socializing, and on and on.  We are being asked to STAY HOME and not spread the virus.  Other countries have been terribly impacted.  The over precaution seems extreme, but the best thing we can do is to have faith and follow it.  We all need to work together as a world to heal.
Here is Sunday church with Bo through FaceTime.  He is lighting his candle as we sing.  I'm betting he even turned off his sound because it was so bad.
Yum!  We decided to cook our steaks over the firepit.  That's called "roughing it."  They were delicious although one was incredibly rare. ;)

Colorado Spring Break

It was USU Spring Break and Mariah came home for the party.  There really wasn't much going on because Dave and I had our same work schedules.  Needless to say, Spring Break was looking a little dreary for Mariah.

This was just one of our delicious meals.  It was a hot dog and pizza place.  It was sooo good!
Dave and I decided that we should take a quick trip to Glenwood Springs, Colorado with Mariah so at least she could say that she did something.  We left Friday and came back Saturday.  We had so much fun.  Friday our main goal was to hit the hot springs and eat at cool places.  We met both of those goals and had such a nice relaxing time.  We had some great conversations about grad school and degrees and life plans.  It was really
Selfie on the gondola!
We got to go on two cave tours and they were pretty amazing even though I would NEVER want to be a cave exporer.

We even found out Penny Machine.  We love our squished pennies.

Law Girls Weekend

We had Girl's Weekend in Orangeville.  Doug doesn't really fit in this picture, but I wanted to make sure and invite him to our raclette dinner.  They all loved it and so I'm thinking it may become a tradition.

Saying Goodbye to K.O.

K.O. got very sick and gradually stopped eating.  We knew that she would be dying soon, but that is a really hard thing to face.  As we woke up each morning, we would check to see if she was still alive.  She was a trooper and still always wanted to try to go outside to do chores and to do her everyday "dog" duties.
Cado and Savannah did not want to miss being with her when she died and so they decided to come out Thursday night after work so that they could say "good-bye" and put her down with peace and love.
There were lots of teary-eyed goodbyes and gentle hugs as we waited for Blaine to come over to put her to sleep.  It's amazing how much we all love these animals and how terribly hard it is to say "good-bye."  Many tears were shed at the loss of K.O. and at seeing the love from her "boy."  It's the end of a legacy that started our love for golden retrievers.  It's the closing of a chapter of Cado's boyhood.  He loved nothing more than his dogs.  They knew that and life was good on the farm!

Cado said, "I thought it would be easier to let K.O. go than Captain.  It's not."
