Enough

Rain is good and rain is nice, but I'm almost to the point where I would be willing to say we have had enough for a while.  Cado, you can take this rain back to Puebla!  It's absolutely crazy, but Roosevelt has never looked more lovely.

Mariah's Fab Fifteen

Mariah was a little worried that I may not have remembered her birthday.  So, she made sure I wrapped the presents the night before for her own peace of mind.
Saturday morning she woke up bright and early to open them. Surprise!  She got a blow dryer.  Now she doesn't have to borrow "moms" all the time.
An even bigger surprise was her cougar blanket.  When she opened it, she asked me where I had bought it?  She was even more surprised when I told her that I had made it...yesterday!  Sometimes I even amaze myself!  ha ha

Night at the Movies

After a marathon and apple picking we decided to go to a late night movie.  What a great day!

Walt Says HI!

We got to go visit the Woolstenhulme's and we still think Walk was looking for Cado.  He seemed to keep checking all of us to see if Cado would magically appear.  Jace and Walt got together to say "hi" to Cado!

Dave's Ice Bath

Rachel had told Dave to go sit in the river after the race.  It was the perfect ice bath to help his sore muscles.

My Favorite Shirt

A group of runners were wearing this shirt at the marathon.  It was the best shirt I have ever seen!

Dave's Finish

First sighting of Dave at the finish line.  Right on cue.  Some of the people finishing looked so beat.  Dave looked pretty good.
He stopped to chat but then we told him to hurry and get past the finish line.  He said he would finish in six and a half hours and he almost missed that goal.
Look at that clock!  It was so cute because Uncle Brian ran with Dave at the end.  I think he can really empathize with a marathon finishing and how hard that is!
 Look at that clock!

Dave and Rachel...the Roosevelt finishers.  Good job!

Dave's Marathon Cheerleaders!

Dave had a great cheering section waiting his arrival from his marathon.  Even Grandpa Call left apple picking to join us.  I actually think he was happy to leave apple picking to come sit in the shade for a while.

Hunter even made a sign to welcome Grandpa!
Rachel Wheeler actually finished the race, showered and came back...to watch DAVE finish and she won a mighty fine trophy.

Apple Picking

 Hunter and Great Grandpa Dee!

 Parker!
 Grandpa.
 Kenna
 Joyce
 Bo!

We spent Saturday picking apples as Dave ran his marathon.  Some of us picked from trees and the rest of us picked UP apples.  Some of the tasty ones on the ground were better left for the deer than for human consumption!

Dave's Pre Marathon Dinner

We got to Logan kind of late on Friday night, but Bo was kind enough to wait for us so that we could all go out and enjoy Dave's pre marathon meal!

Park City Tennis

Mariah got to play doubles with Katelyn Anderson against Park City.  They were the only team from Union that won.  It was fun watching their game and I think Mariah learned a lot from Katelyn.

Finding "Joy" in St. George

Joy has called me and Dave every single year on our anniversary to wish us a happy day (except when she was on her mission).  This year when she called, we were traveling to St. George for Mariah's tennis tournament so we said, "Come meet us for lunch."   We met up after Mariah's games were done and got to meet her cute...really cute kids as well.  It was so much fun.

My first and "bestest" college roommate ever.  We know that it was inspiration that we ended up together.  I am so grateful that she listened to that little voice way back then and I am so glad that I did as well.  The Lord knew we needed to be forever friends!
Talon, Ethan, Joy and Melanie.  Next year I promised to bring Mariah to meet her cute boys!

Lunch Time Madness

Mariah pulled 8 kids off the street at lunch time with the bribery of subway sandwiches.  The only thing they had to do in return was dress up and act like a Greek God for her English project!
