Baby Carter Has Arrived

Dayton and Brooke have been calling him "Baby Carter" for the longest time that I don't know if he will ever just be called Carter.  He was born Friday, August 28th at 5:30.  He weighed 6 pounds 7 ounces and is 19 1/2 inches.  Hunter has already tried to feed him Doritos and fruit snacks!

Mariah Has a Sister!

Mariah's dream of having a sister has just come true.  Meet MAYA!  She is living with us and going to nail school.  She is from Star Valley and one of Joyce's favorite people ever.

Boating with the Lewis'

 Maria and Stephen Lewis invited us to come camping and boating at Starvation this past weekend.  We couldn't make the camping part, because of Jessica's wedding, but we could make the boating part on Saturday.  It was the first time we have gone with them and it was great. 

Of course the 4:30 storms showed up and we had to quickly pack up and head in.  Here we are freezing, hanging on to the tubes for dear life and speeding to shore!  That added a little excitement to the end of the day!

 Well we made the goal of being ready for Jessica's wedding barbeque.  We have worked like crazy on our yard and the deadline of knowing lots of people would be coming made us work even faster. 

 Friday the house was filled with flowers and food!

 The yard and decorations turned out very cute.  We waited for the 4:30 rain storm and then set up.  After that, it was a perfect evening.

 Lots and lots of people came.  Carrie was a tad worried that no one would show up.  We kind of had the opposite problem...no one left!  We had to pull out all the chairs we could find.  People just visited and seemed to have a really great time.

 We've been working all summer to make our yard a more inviting and fun place.  It looks like Law Movie Night was proof that it was getting better!  We've never been able to do this before and it was pretty awesome!

The 2015 Stock Show

UBIC weekend also means getting ready for the stock show.  Mariah and Nate both had a lamb and a hog.  Mariah's hog got some sort of injury the week before the stock show so it had a limp.  It got knocked down a ways for that.  Otherwise it was really a good looking hog.  The lambs were typically Law lambs.  Not the best, but they sold well.

In the end, both Mariah and Nate brought home over 1600.00 each.  Not bad for that week of work!

UBIC Tennis Tournament

The UBIC tennis tournament was well attended by some great players and some not so great players.  Mariah was entered into the singles girls, singles women's and mixed doubles groups.  She played Ashley for the singles girls trophy.  Ashley took first and Mariah got second.  She did great in her matches, but she really could have used a different mixed doubles partner!  Jarom just doesn't really have tennis skills yet.

Dave and I played mixed doubled (because Mariah dumped him) and we beat Randall and Becca Bennett but lost out second match.  We had a short run but it was long enough to get in the local newspaper!  That's really all that matters.
