Happy Birthday to ME
This past Sunday was birthday #43! To celebrate Carrie and I went cross country skiing. I haven't done that for 26 years and I'm not sure I've missed it! I'm still recovering from the injuries I sustained while walking through that sticky snow with those giant skies. Take me to the bunny hill ski lift any day!

Our Wonderful Christmas Quilt
This is the gorgeous quilt that DeeAnne made us for our family Christmas present. It was definitely a labor of love. The quilt is made out of old pants and it even has some "real" pants pockets on it. She had to measure, cut and sew all of these perfect squares to make this all look so good. She even made it match my family room rug. This is surely a keepsake. Thanks Deber!
Valentines Day
I got home Sunday night from Girls Weekend and found this lovely display just waiting for me. Dave thinks this is possibly the first time he has ever gotten me a dozen roses! Not bad for 22 years. :)
I then looked carefully at the book he chose for me. Is this some sort of a hint? ha ha Anyway, the book does have a chocolate section and it says that "chocolate is good for you." He must have read that and thought that it was safe to give me some. Happy Valentines Day to all.

Girls Weekend 2010
We had another great Girls Weekend in Logan. We did the typical shopping excursion and this year will be known for all of the sheets that DeeAnne bought. She is going to have material to last her a very long time. It's definitely in our genetics to love a good deal.
Mom felt good enough to come with us for suppers. Here we are at Cafe Sabor. It is a great little train station that has been turned into a Mexican restaurant. We had enough food to feed an army.
I guess the manager dropped my food on the way out so I did not get served at the same time that the rest did. I think they were worried that I would be highly offended. Needless to say, he came out, apologized and then they brought us a complimentary dessert to make up for it! (Like we really needed that!)
Mom also came to Sam's Club shopping with us. We asked the really nice lady at the door to take a "memory" shot of us! Hooray for another wonderful year.

Just a Note...
I just had to write this down because it was pretty cute.
Mariah wants to sign up for the new city volleyball teams that are being formed, but she really wants me to be her coach. I thought she probably wanted me as her coach simply for the great talent and skills that I possess. I found out otherwise. Mariah told me that she liked having her parents as her coaches because, even if she isn't good, we will still like her and other coaches might not :)
