Five a.m.! I thought they might sleep in, but I heard their alarm clock going off right on the dot. Bo especially looked ready to go.
No one was terribly surprised at what they had received this year. For some reason, most of them had already seen their stuff. There were a few surprised thrown in though.
Bo was very happy to get new snowboarding boots. He is taking a snowboarding class at USU so they should be well used.
Cado got the exact basketball shoes he had ordered and two bags of dogfood which Captain and K.O. would certainly enjoy.
Grandma Law spent five days with us! We have never had here for five days all to ourselves. It was great. She got a new blanket and some new warm boots so her feet don't freeze at church.
She always amazes us. She went to the gym everyday and walked two miles.
After the gift opening, most of us went back to bed. Except Mariah! We each got a nice breakfast in bed surprise a few hours later.
We would often hear random bouts of music coming from the living room. Bo now says that he wished he would have learned how to play the violin rather than the trumpet!Hunter came two days after Christmas (with his mom and dad) and got to spend a whole week. Each person was always on the look out for spit up. Here's the results of his many, many UPS!
Grandma made her excellent rolls for our dinner. They were eaten up very quickly.
After dinner, the boys decided to take on the "after dinner role" that they used to be able to do as young kids. We would let one child go and practice their piano after each meal and they would get out of clean up. Well, Bo and Cado decided they wanted to bring that tradition back!
There were some intense Rook games and a few Munchkin games played nightly. I still think Rook was more popular than Munchkin...especially with Dave.
