2016 Daddy Daughter Trip

This year for our daddy daughter trip we decided to go to Cancun.  We kind of made plans at the last minute because that was the only thing that could work for everyone's schedules.  So, instead of a cruise, we made it to a resort...which is basically just like a cruise without the movement of a boat.

We made our annual stop at the airport book shop to see what types of great reading we could find.  Those airports are always filled with some of the most appropriate self-help books.  We thought these three would be quite fitting.  But, since we really don't like self help books, we just used these for our photo shoot and bought "non" self-help books!  No wonder we still have issues!
Flying over the rockies was just beautiful.
Here is a shot of our resort looking out from our balcony window.  Gosh, where are all the people?
 Oh, there they are!

We did one excursion while we were there.  We went with an LDS tour group to Tulum and Chitzen Itza.  It was a long day, but a very interesting one.  I was very excited for DeeAnne and Joyce to see these places.

 Isn't this a cool picture!
On the way home, we got sent with another tour bus because they were going closer to Cancun.  So, we had an extra stop in a small city we had stayed in 8 years ago when Dave and I went on a tour.  It was such a cute city and it was fun to see it again...even if it was just for 15 minutes.
Dad even remembered these cute chairs from when he and mom visited years ago.

Our hotel had awesome night shows.  This is the Michael Jackson night.

We started playing shuffle board and pretty soon we were surrounded by some really cute kids.  Before long, we were teaching them how to play and then we turned the game over to them.
We were there on Valentine's Day and got to watch some people renew their vows in their own style.

There was not the formal picture taking going on that goes on on cruise ships so we finally had to try some of our own.
