Apple Days

The kids and I decided to head up to Logan late Friday night while Dave was in Sacramento at a Conference. We got there at about 10 p.m. and immediately went to Texas Roadhouse Grill! Mmmm, we each got our own order of beef kabobs and were in heaven. We had plenty to take home for the next day of apple pickin!

Grandma and Grandpa Call were there and so were Brian and Dani and the family. Everyone got busy picking apples, because Grandpa is bound and determined to take home a full truckload each time he comes down. That equates to about 200 bushels. Good thing that wind blew down so many of these apples.

It was a little funny to watch the weather on Sunday. The plan was to pick apples and listen to conference at the same time. I don't think that that was the best plan. What we soon discovered was that it began raining at 10 a.m. and then stopped at 12 p.m. Hum, was that a sign from above? Everyone stayed in and "listened" to conference! We are believers! :)

The very best part of any day of apple picking is making caramel apples. Mmmm, well worth the work.
