Who Would Have Thunk?

Last weekend we had great plans to go to Provo, meet with a pre law advisor, make a quick dentist appointment with Uncle Jim, run some errands for the house and go mission shopping with Bo. What Friday actually ended up being was, a very, very long dentist appointment for Shirlene and Bo's car breaking down AGAIN! Needless to say, we didn't even begin our errands until 4:00 p.m. Friday afternoon. But....who would have thunk that this all would have been so much fun! We just loved having everyone together and "towing" around Bo's car.
We've simplified mission shopping tremendously. We made it a one stop event. Here is Mr. Mac's protege fitting Bo for his mission suit and getting him set up with the necessities of life that he will need for the next two years. We are really quite easy to please I guess, because he only had to try on one suit and one pair of pants and we were done! We grabbed the white shirts, socks and shoes and $598.00 later...we were out of that store. That felt rather inexpensive :)

Mr. Mac is prepared for the work that dad's need to do on these shopping adventures!
By the end of the evening of shopping, we were pretty much buddies with "Mr. Mac's protege" and figured he better be in our family picture. By this time we were all pretty tired and hungry! It was 6 p.m. and we really hadn't had anything to eat, except for a potato at the granite place. We were excited to get to Cafe Rio to have dinner with the Crane's.
Fortunately the kids did not know that it was going to be a three hour dinner! Once again, they were troopers and still had fun!!!!!
Here we are getting Bo's car ready to tow. The hotel that Bo broke down by said they would tow it off if we left it there. Gee.

Since we had so many things that we still hadn't done by the end of the day, we decided to spend the night. It took several stops and a variety of hotels to actually find one that had any rooms! We finally found a Fairfield Inn and snuck the "extra" kids in. They swam and laughed and especially enjoyed the amazing breakfast the next morning.
