Going to the MTC

We never think that missionary Wednesday is very fun. It's a lot of anticipation and anxiety getting ready to leave each other for two years.
Since the MTC drop off procedure has changed, we did what everyone else does now...we went and took pictures in front of the Provo Temple before we dropped Bo off. It was basically a heatwave in Provo. Twenty seven degrees! That totally beats the negative degrees that we are having in the Basin.

We ran a few errands before Bo left. Bo needed a bike lock and while he was there he found the perfect mission bike. He figured that he would look awesome on this and that the basket would be quite handy!
Bo chose the Olive Garden for his lunchtime meal. The waiters at Olive Garden referred to this day as Missionary Wednesday. There were four other families there with one very nervous missionary amongst each one. Bo only ate two bites of soup and 1 1/2 breadsticks. Nervous? I think so.

We got the number 25 drop off zone. That means that we got to drive clear to the very end of the row. It was great because that meant more time with Bo. We knew the drop off would be fast, but were pleasantly surprised that we at least got to get out, give hugs and give hugs again.

When we got back in the car Cado made a funny observation. He had noticed that the car behind us had taken about 30 seconds to drop off their missionary. He said, "That must have been the seventh missionary for that family because they only took 30 seconds to drop him off. They didn't even get out of the car!" We laughed! Good thing that we don't have that many kids. That means that we will never get tired of giving them those extra tight hugs!

See you in two years Bo! You are going to do great.
