Our wagon driver was ready to take us up to the base of the mountain for our adventure. No one told us details beyond that, but once we got there, we just started hiking straight up! There was no trail, there was no easy way. It was simply straight up and we were more than a little surprised!
Marion and I went back down when we saw Joyce coming and she said she was told of an easier way by Uncle Warren. So we went a completely different route up that mountain and I'm sure it was even steeper. We were all about ready to give up at different moments of time. Joyce was most ready to give up so Anson climbed down to her and told her he would climb back up with her and "she could do it!" How cute is that! We all cheered and happily signed the book when we got to the top. They also had white elephant gifts up there and a monument. You got to switch out your white elephant give you brought up for one in the box!
Dave and Shirlene just happy to "almost" get a kiss photo!
The monument. You get to put a rock on it if you live to make it to the top!
Look at these awesome hikers and cousins! I love my family. They are truly awesome.
