Last night we traveled to Playa Del Carmen, which is a touristy beach town across from Cozumel on the Carribean. Our hotel, Hacienda Del Carribe, is right in the middle of everything, about 2 blocks from the ocean. The first morning we set out to find discount tickets for Xcaret, a Mayan theme park. The tickets cost $98/person, and although I was not wanting to go to a time share presentation, Shirlene got a guy to commit to give us free tickets if we went. I have to say I sure I enjoyed Xcaret a lot better since it was free! There was a 1/2 mile underground cenote river that we floated down which was fun, and Dave said they had the best buffet he's ever seen. The night shows were great too. Here are some pics.
